Forgot Taxpayer ID

You can recover your Taxpayer ID number if not remembered. Easy Guide

To retrieve your taxpayer ID as an individual:
Open web page https://etax.lirs.net/

• Click on ‘Forgot Tax ID?’

You will be redirected to a taxpayer ID recovery page. Here, you can recover your Payer ID as an Individual taxpayer

From the first drop-down field select ‘Individual’ from the taxpayer type

• From the second drop-down field select ‘Identification System Type’ BVN OR NIN
• Enter your Identification number as chosen from the drop-down field
• Enter your ‘Date of Birth’ as registered from the onset
• Check the Captcha box ‘I am not a robot’
• Click on ‘Proceed’ button to retrieve your ID number

PS: Taxpayer ID number will be sent to the registered email or phone number as a text message.
